Greenstone recently won two awards at the Regent Street Recycling Awards, recognising its innovation in the measurement of its environmental initiatives. Greenstone has been using its own software, in particular the award-winning ‘Initiatives Savings’ module (ISM), to report on consumption, carbon and financial savings it has achieved through its own company initiatives.
In 2018, Greenstone developed the ISM to enable its clients to monitor and report initiatives to reduce environmental impacts across energy, water, waste and paper. This solution enables organisations to define targets, analyse how projects are contributing towards them and identify projects that could provide CO2e and consumption savings. It can also be used to enable Monitoring and Verification (M&V) calculations to assess actual project savings.
As an environmentally and socially conscious organisation, Greenstone has a range of company initiatives to reduce its impact on the environment and it decided to use its ISM module to track and monitor them.
Greenstone initiatives that were tracked through the ISM include:
- Using reusable coffee cups
- Double Sided Printing
- Recycling food waste
- Plastic Free Week
- Diverting electrical waste from land-fill
