PE Wire US Awards - Greenstone shortlisted in two ESG categories

We are delighted to announce that Greenstone has been shortlisted in the Private Equity Wire US Awards 2023 in the "Best ESG Solution Provider" and "Best Data Provider - ESG" categories. Our new colleagues at Reporting 21 were also shortlisted in the "Best ESG Solution Provider" category. 

For the private equity industry, these awards provide a unique annual insight into the most highly-regarded and successful fund managers and service providers. Greenstone is working with a rapidly increasing number of global Private Equity firms to advance ESG data collection, management and reporting. Through its purpose-built Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Investor ESG solution, Greenstone is enabling the monitoring and reporting of ESG performance and the calculation of carbon emissions across funds and portfolios.

The shortlists for the Private Equity Wire US Awards are collated by Bloomberg. For the service provider categories, the nominated firms are based on a widespread survey of more than 500 GPs and other key industry participants.
Nominations for all categories are based on annualized performance over a 12-month period from May 31st, 2022 to May 31st, 2023. Nominations in various award categories are further split by size and strategy as specified in the award name.

Greenstone launched its Investor ESG software solution in late 2019. Since then, it has received an exceptional amount of market interest and is currently used by Private Equity firms all over the world with a collective total of over $400bn AUM.

Greenstone's software is a responsible investing solution that provides centralised analysis of ESG data at portfolio, fund and portfolio company level. As well as simplifying the collection, management and analysis of standard and proprietary ESG data and documents, it enables location-based GHG emissions calculation, customised scoring and ratings and portfolio engagement.

Voting for the awards is conducted via an online poll of the entire Private Equity Wire userbase, where participants are asked to make their choice among the shortlisted firms in each category. Voting closes on Friday 1st September 2023 and winners will be announced at an exclusive ceremony and networking event on Wednesday, October 25th, at The Penn Club, New York.
