Greenstone is delighted to announce that its investor ESG software solution, InvestorPortal, has been recognised with a Top Product of the Year award by Environment + Energy Leader. This is the fifth year Greenstone has been awarded this accolade. Earlier this year, Greenstone was acquired by market leading EHS software provider, Cority, who also won an award in the 2023 E+E Leader Awards program.
InvestorPortal is a cloud-based software solution enabling private capital investors to collect, manage, analyse and report carbon emissions and ESG data across their investment portfolios and funds. It enables investors and their portfolio companies to calculate accurate carbon emissions to help them understand and report progress against their carbon reduction targets. In June 2022, InvestorPortal was announced as the winner of the ‘Technology: ESG’ award by the Drawdown, recognising Greenstone’s leadership in technology innovation in the private equity space.
InvestorPortal uniquely straddles the carbon reporting and management needs of GPs (General Partners) whilst providing portfolio companies with an accessible, user-friendly and intuitive carbon emissions calculation tool. Through this software solution, Greenstone has made the GHG emissions calculation process accessible and efficient, particularly for portfolio companies with little experience in carbon measurement. By creating a simple step-by-step ‘wizard’ user interface, even portfolio companies with no previous experience are guided through each step of the process.
For the past decade, the Environment + Energy Leader Awards have recognised excellence in products and services that provide companies with energy and environmental benefits. In choosing award winners, judges evaluate products, in part, based on their ease of use, efficiency, and reliability. From the distinguished panel of judges, one judge remarked "The in-depth reporting and the graphics provide a clear overview of investor portfolios and their performance against ESG criteria."
