The UK Government’s Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting (SECR) framework comes into effect from April 2019, and although the final details are yet to be published, the results from the consultation provide some indication of what the scheme will involve.
It is estimated that up to 12,000 large UK companies will be required to report under the new framework, aimed at streamlining and reducing the complexity of current energy and carbon reporting requirements.
