Greenstone announces launch of ESOS reporting functionality and Carbon Smart partnership

Greenstone is pleased to announce a new release of its software and a strategic partnership to assist its clients with reporting under the UK’s Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme (ESOS).

ESOS is a mandatory energy assessment scheme set up by the UK government, in response to the EU’s Energy Efficiency Directive. It requires qualifying organisations to measure and audit the total energy usage across all buildings, transport and industrial activities.

The latest release of Greenstone’s Enterprise software, which now includes ESOS reporting functionality, helps to ensure its clients can easily report under the scheme and monitor progress over time. Using an ESOS dashboard, Greenstone users can define what needs to be measured under the scheme and prepare data before an energy audit. Once an audit has been carried out, they can also identify opportunities for improvement, set targets, analyse data outputs and store evidence to prepare for future reporting.

As part of its ESOS proposition, Greenstone is pleased to announce a new partnership with sustainability consultancy Carbon Smart. Carbon Smart’s approved Lead Assessors can carry out the practical energy audits required under ESOS and compile the required energy audit report and associated evidence pack, registering compliance on behalf of organisations with the Environment Agency. This strategic partnership ensures consistent end-to-end ESOS reporting for Greenstone’s clients.

Matthew de Villiers, CEO at Greenstone comments ‘We are constantly evolving our software solutions and services in response to our clients’ reporting requirements so the inclusion of ESOS is a natural progression for us. We are delighted to have partnered with Carbon Smart who have extensive experience in energy audits and bring in the expertise necessary to make ESOS reporting seamless for our clients.'
